Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the Vision of Launch Box?

Launch Box is a mission training experience for youth groups designed to allow students to engage least-reached peoples while receiving quality training that will launch them into a life on mission back in their hometown. The experience is designed to give your students a lot of quality training, similar to what we provide for our overseas teams, as well as opportunities to serve strategically by helping the local church reach international immigrants and refugees.

  • Who should I bring to Launch Box?

Launch Box is open to students in grades 6–12. Bring your whole youth group, or select a smaller group — whatever works best for you.

While participants do not have to be Christians, we do ask that the students you bring be mature and respectful. Our work depends on strong relationships with the host church and other ministry partners, so choose students who will honor these relationships and reflect well on the program.

  • What type of ministry will we do?

The primary missional activity will be ministering to international refugees in apartment complexes. Students will lead bible lessons, crafts, and games while befriending the refugees and sharing the gospel.

Groups will also have at least one service-oriented project, such as volunteering at a food pantry.

  • Can I add students after I register?

Yes! Space permitting, you can always add more students than you originally registered.

  • How many adults should I bring?

The more the merrier. At minimum, bring enough adults to cover transportation and lodging, with at least one male and one female adult.

  • What will the teaching and training focus on?

    1. Cross-cultural Training: Because your students will work with international refugees, we provide cross-cultural awareness training.

    2. Evangelism Training: Students will be trained on what the message of the Gospel is and how to share it.

    3. Worship Services: Each day ends with a worship service, including a sermon that will be Bible centered.
